Ten years ago, Mel B reached her goal weight of 60kg in an impressive 20 weeks.
Here we look back on her journey and her top 10 tips for success:

- Weigh yourself regularly – it’ll help keep you on track and inspire your progress
- Celebrate milestones and spoil yourself with non-food rewards along the way, I like to spoil myself with a new outfit!
- Keep moving. Walking is my thing; I walk for an hour or two a day – do something that’s enjoyable for you!
- Avoid fads and trends– you’ve got to make changes that you’ll stick to for good! Otherwise, you’ll just get back into old habits.
- Eat the rainbow! Make your dinner plate as colourful as possible, with a variety of vegetables.
- Don’t deny yourself! Volumize your Jenny Craig meals with vegetables and salads. It’s all about eating in moderation – if you eat the right foods in the right amount you don’t need to go hungry.
- Be Supported! Whether it’s a friend, family member or your Jenny Craig coach, having support and encouragement on a weight loss journey is key. My Jenny coach and I have become besties.
- Stay positive, there is so much pressure to be perfect and not slip up. But it’s okay if you have a bad week – just make sure you learn from it and stay focused.
- Try a hobby if you don’t already have one. We’ve all had times where we eat because we’re bored – keep up the fun and keep yourself busy and you won’t end up standing in front of the fridge.
