Tell us a bit about you and what life was like before you joined Jenny Craig?

Before joining Jenny Craig, I felt uncomfortable. Uncomfortable in my clothes, in my appearance, and with my fitness.  I felt like I’d lost myself somehow. I wanted to lose weight, feel confident in my appearance, enjoy being fit and active again and to get back to feeling like the ‘old’ me.


Why did you decide to join Jenny Craig?

I decided to join Jenny Craig because I wanted to learn about food, portions, and how to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. I knew that having portion-controlled meals ready to go would make the journey so much easier to begin and continue on with.  I was also excited to have a consultant there to guide me and keep me accountable to my goals.


Can you describe your experience on the Jenny Craig program?

I couldn’t have lost weight on my own and kept it off, the Jenny Craig program has given me the tools I needed.  I felt supported from day one and felt success from week one with my consultant there every step of the way.  Also, I love the food! Jenny Craig has a great range, even for me as a vegetarian!


Do you have any favourite items from the Jenny Craig menu?

My favourite menu items are the Oat and Apricot Bar, Apple Berry Brekkie Cup and Vegetable Tikka Masala with Paneer Cheese.


Tell us more about your Jenny Craig Consultant:

Shelley is the best!  She’s been my consultant since I first joined the Springwood centre.  She knows how to motivate me, and be supportive while keeping me accountable, and always enjoying a laugh along the way.  She wants me to achieve my goals, and she kept me believing that I can do it!


How do you feel now that you’ve lost the weight?

I feel like I’m taking care of myself now and am making self-care a priority.   I feel proud of myself for achieving a goal and improving my enjoyment of life.  I feel like myself again.


Do you have a standout moment on the Jenny Craig program you’d like to share?

I have done Jenny Craig successfully a few times before, after having my children.  I think a standout moment when I originally lost weight was going snowboarding in Canada with my brother.  It was an incredible feeling getting out on the snow and enjoying every minute of it!
