Before joining Jenny Craig I was not feeling very good about how I felt and looked at 92.4 kgs, also I didn’t like the fact that I was now in size 16 clothes and they were beginning to feel very tight. I felt that I needed some help to get me on the right track with my eating and daily exercise. I talked to my husband Daniel about how I was feeling, he knew that I was feeling pretty down on myself.
We looked on the Jenny Craig website and both felt that this would help me lose the weight. Also I wanted to make a change for myself, so that I would feel better as a person. Daniel said “go for it and I will support you all the way”, which he has done.
I found it hard to start with, sticking to the planned menus and starting exercise which was walking. As the weeks went on I was feeling so much better in myself and I could see little changes starting to happen, I was becoming more aware of portions sizes and with the support of my personal coach, Colleen, I was able to change old habits that were contributing to my weight problem.
After 31 weeks I lost 24kgs and reached my goal weight! I can walk and run between 9-13km most days of the week. I have completed the KeriKeri 1/2 marathon (this was an amazing achievement for me). I also love shopping for clothes, size 10 is now my normal size.
This is a lifestyle change for me and my family and I NEVER want to go back to where I was.
