Tell us a bit about you and what life was like before you joined Jenny Craig?
Because I was so overweight, I felt really unhappy, unhealthy and lacked confidence. This also meant I often did not want to socialise. I picked up a lot of bad habits like heavy drinking and just eating bad foods.
Why did you decide to join Jenny Craig?
I knew I needed to do something about my weight and my health, but it was really hard to take the first step. I tried to start changing things on my own like by doing exercise or eating better, but it would only last a couple of days and I would go back to the old habits. Mum suggested I try Jenny Craig as she had done the program a long time ago and it had worked for her.
Can you describe your experience on the Jenny Craig Program?
Well, taking the first step and walking through the doors was hard. But after sitting with Suzie my consultant it all seemed fairly easy to understand. The first couple of weeks I think were the hardest because I had to break my bad habits. But seeing the great results and the consistent results on the scales just kept me motivated. Eventually it just got easier and easier.
Do you have any favourite items from the Jenny Craig menu?
I definitely had my favourites that I liked to get each week. With breakfast I always preferred cereals and snacks I always preferred the savory over the sweet ones. My favourite of each meal would be the Hazelnut Almond Cereal, Ham and Cheese Toastie, Chicken Parmi and Sweet Chilli Sour Cream Chips.
Tell us more about your Jenny Craig consultant?
Suzie has been very supportive on my journey. I know she would always help with any questions that I had and gave me plenty of great advice and ideas.
How do you feel now that you’ve lost the weight?
I feel amazing, like a completely different person. But being as heavy as I was and losing nearly half my body weight it has made a massive difference. Not only do I look great, but I just have so much energy now to get out and enjoy life. The program has changed my whole outlook on like. I’ve gone from being lazy and staying around the house to not being able to sit still because I want to go out or exercise.
Do you have a standout moment on the Jenny Craig program you’d like to share?
Definitely reaching 100kg loss. I had changed my goal several times and reaching each of those goals was very rewarding. But 100kg was a massive achievement for me.start your journey now
