I have gradually put on 6 – 7kgs, since I was 23. When I was pregnant at 30 I put on 10kg, more in between and then with the 2nd pregnancy another 10kg, bringing me to 96.6kg when I went to Jenny Craig. I thought I only struggled with running and body image. Since losing weight I have realized it was much more than that and so many things are easier now.
I had already wanted to lose weight after my pregnancies but my ‘aha’ moment was when my sister-in-law sent me photos from our family x-mas party. Those photos showed me just how much weight I had put on and I wanted it gone!
My experience has been very positive. Without having to do much physical activity, following the meal plan, I have been able to shed over 20kgs. When I’ve had special events I haven’t had to miss out. The program has been easy to follow as well as flexible. Weekly consults are fantastic and have definitely help me stay on track.
I remember when I was last at my current weight and I thought I was overweight. Now I appreciate how I look and feel at my healthy weight. I’m proud to have made it this far, I also can’t believe it!
