How did you feel before joining Jenny Craig?
Before I joined Jenny Craig, I felt unhealthy and frustrated by the fact that I was exercising but I still was putting on weight! I didn’t feel like myself, and didn’t recognise who I was when I looked in the mirror. I suddenly realised that I had changed beyond recognition. I was unhappy, and I needed to do something about it. I had remembered seeing the Jenny Craig ads when I had been at the doctor’s so I just googled Jenny Craig and found the centre in Taringa. I booked an appointment and instantly started feeling better because I felt like I had some direction. While at Jenny Craig, I learned that I was underestimating my portion sizes and not balancing my meals. That education and support alongside my exercise regime helped turn things around and I’m happy to report that I’ve maintained a loss of 16kg for twelve months! Before finding Jenny Craig and doing the work, I would not have felt confident on my wedding day but now I feel happy, more like myself, and I feel beautiful again! The wedding isn’t for awhile, but I feel confident that I will maintain this loss for another year and more to come!
What was your biggest motivator to start your weight loss journey?
In Feb 2018 I went to Paris where my fiance proposed and in Sept 2020 I am getting married.
Tell us about the food at Jenny Craig?
Now that I’m in Maintenance, I am fully preparing all of my meals, but when I was getting the Jenny Craig meals I found that there were so many things to enjoy! I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and flavour of the meals (having never had any experience with pre-prepared meals before). I really liked the Chicken Parmigiana as a dinner and the Cinnamon Cookie was a great post-dinner snack with some low-fat vanilla custard! And I liked the range of breakfast options, especially the cereals and the muesli bar! All in all, very yummy options.start your journey now
