The Recharge Bar!

hints-and-tips

Our innovative Recharge Bar, combined with our nutritionally balanced menu, is designed to support an intermittent fasting routine based on following a 14:10 regime. This means an overnight rest or rejuvenation period for 14 hours and a nourishment period of 10 hours.

Our delicious Recharge Bar is made from a premium blend of nuts, including almonds, macadamias and pecans, with a touch of honey. Nuts are packed full of nutrients and it may surprise you that research suggests a diet containing nuts can help with healthy weight management! Why are almonds, macadamias and pecans used in our Recharge Bar? Here’s why!

Almonds

Almonds are a power-fueling nut. They’re packed with protein, fibre and monounsaturated fat (the good fat!), and they help us to feel fuller for longer. The protein, fibre and healthy fat composition helps lower LDL cholesterol (the bad cholesterol), blood sugar levels and blood pressure, too. Almonds are also a source of Vitamin E, which is an antioxidant that protects cells from oxidative damage.

With their high fibre content, almonds promote a happy and healthy gut because they’re food for our good gut bacteria. Almonds contain calcium and phosphorus, key minerals for promoting strong and healthy bones and teeth. With the minerals selenium and magnesium, almonds support our minds and bodies to unwind and relax.

Macadamias

Enriched with fibre and monounsaturated fat, macadamias are more than just a tasty nut! Like almonds, macadamias help lower the bad LDL cholesterol and control blood sugar levels within a healthy range. They are a source of antioxidants, which help prevent oxidative damage to cells and support good heart health. The fibre content in macadamias helps fuel the good gut bacteria in our bodies and keeps our bowels healthy and happy. With a high monounsaturated fat content, macadamias support the healthy functioning of our hearts.

Pecans

Pecans contain both monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, and promote heart health by lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. Also, pecans are one of the few plant sources to contain Omega-3 fats, essential for supporting healthy heart functioning.

Like other nuts, their fibre content helps reduce blood sugar levels and helps feed your good gut bacteria, keeping your gut and bowels healthy. Pecans are rich in polyphenols, which are a group of antioxidants that protect our bodies from oxidative damage.

Despite these nuts being high in energy and fat, including them in a balanced diet and alongside the Jenny Craig meals can assist with healthy weight management. Research has shown that consuming nuts can make you feel more satisfied and keep you feeling fuller for longer. This can lead to the consumption of fewer kilojoules throughout the day, which then aids weight loss. This combination of nuts is sure to be a trio you’ll love!
