We all know how hard sticking to a weight loss plan can be, especially over the festive season, when the temptation to deviate is at its peak. So this festive season, if you have family or friends that are on a weight loss journey, support them with some of these great gift ideas.

Fitness tracker or Heart rate monitor – Everyone on a weight loss journey should track, whether it is steps, sleep, meals, water or heart rate. Fitness trackers will allow them to ensure they are achieving their 10,000+ steps per day and reaching their activity mark. A Heart Rate Monitor will ensure they are reaching their optimum heart rate for serious fat burning.

Vouchers for a new wardrobe – With so many colours, styles and sizes in clothes it can be very hard to purchase as gifts, so vouchers are the safest bet. The voucher can be from a clothes store, shoe store, jewellery or bag store or of course an active wear store to increase their confidence to exercise.

Pamper session – while on a weight loss journey it can be a nice treat to relax or rejuvenate even just a small part of your body. Vouchers for a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, hair cut or hair treatment can do wonders!

Diary or journal – Tracking or journaling can be easier with a colourful journal, maybe with some inspirational quotes throughout.

Gym vouchers – sometimes people need that little nudge to start an exercise routine. A gym voucher, pilates or yoga class vouchers or boot camp visits could really help get them started. If you think they might prefer to exercise at home you could look at hiring exercise equipment (like a treadmill or bike).

Herb plants or Vegetable seeds – healthy, weight loss eating can be assisted with fresh herbs and vegetables at home. Why not start their garden with seeds for carrots, tomato’s, cucumber, spinach, cauliflower or broccoli. Small herb plants can be potted into lovely displays – basil, mint, chives, coriander, oregano, parsley etc.
